Local SEO for small and local businesses

Local listings such as Google Places appear above the organic listings in search engine results.
We can create and optimize your Google Places listing to    keep you on top of your competitors.
Local SEO is also targeting or using geographical locations added to your key words and keyword phrases.
If you are a Realtor located in the Hudson Valley it would be much easier to rank on the first page of Google if you optimized for the search term "Hudson Valley real estate" rather than "real estate" because there is a lot more competition for the term "real estate".

Local listings can be optimized for Search Engines just like websites and webpages. We know the ethical SEO techniques to employ to get you on of the top spots of local search results and keep you there.
We can do the same for Yahoo, Bing and other major search engines!

Do It Yourself SEO

We offer three plans for website owners who want to do their own Search Engine Optimization.

Plan #1 - We provide you with a complete on page analysis of your website using our 50+ point SEO analysis of the on page SEO elements of your website.

Checking such things as page titles, page descriptions, image file names, image alt tags, your keyword density and if your url's are search engine friendly. If you are using your heading tags properly (such as H1, H2, H3 and so on) and if you are using a keyword meta tag. Most SEO's don't feel this tag is important however we recommend using it because we feel it will be important again someday and tagging your pages, photos and videos is a good idea especially since it takes minimal effort.

We will also analyze how long it takes your pages to load, image height and width in your code (this will help your pages load faster). If you have a robots meta tag, a robots.txt file, a custom 404 error page, an xml sitemap and if it has been submitted to Google.

We check for URL canonicalization. Google sees mysite.com and www.mysite.com as two separate pages so you should use a 301 redirect to forward mysite.com to www.mysite.com to avoid duplicate content issues with Google.

We also check to see if you are using nested tables (nested tables can make your page load slower), inline styles instead of external CSS style sheet (using CSS means less code and pages load faster), inline javascript (having too much code on a page makes it load slower-- there are options to get around this), and if your keywords are in the anchor text of all inbound and outbound links, how many internal and external links your website has.

We check several other on page SEO factors as well!

Plan #2 - In addition to plan # 1 we do all of the above plus provide you with detailed instructions on how to implement all of the changes that we recommend based on the SEO analysis report Outlined in plan #1 such as writing your page titles and descriptions, where to use bold on your page, how to use heading tags and everything else listed in the SEO analysis report in plan #1.

Plan #3 - Covers plan #1 and plan #2  but also offers you 6 months of SEO consulting and support via email To help with all of the SEO changes and to keep you on track with your SEO campaign.

Keyword Research

Keyword research is a technique that search engine optimization professionals use to find and research the actual search terms people type into search engines when searching for services, products & information. Search engine optimization professionals research keywords and keyword phrases to achieve higher rankings for their desired keywords & keyword phrases.

SEO's want to find the most effective and profitable keywords & phrases for your website. Long tail keyword phrases are important to many if not most websites. 70% of all internet searches are users searching with long tail search phrases.

Long tail keyword phrases would be "Hudson Valley NY house painters" instead of "painter" or "house painter".  Almost all of the time these long tail keyword phrases have much lower competition and are easier to optimize for.

A good seo will try to find the most profitable keyword phrases. The lower the competition and the higher the search volume, the more valuable the keyword phrase is to your website.

KEI or keyword effectiveness is one of the most popular ways to score the effectiveness of a keyword or keyword phrase. The higher the KEI score, the more traffic search engines will deliver to your website. Basically The KEI of a key word is figured out by the ratio of the square of the searches upon a particular keyword in a day divided by the number of websites that are listed for that keyword. For example, a keyword that has 100 searches a day and for which Google shows 5000 websites would have a KEI of 2. (100 * 100 / 5000)

Backlinks

I recently stumbled across a website that's giving away seo backlinks that have page rank of 7 and higher. They're giving away over 125 of them and you can use a combination of them all to get higher rankings for any of your keywords on Google.

What's even crazier is you can also get a chance to get free backlink software.

If you want higher SEO rankings for your website, then go to this site and download the links:

What is SEO? - Search Engine Optimization explained

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the art of improving the visibility of a website or a webpage in the search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic") search results.
Basically, the higher a website or webpage ranks in the search engine results page (SERPS), and more frequently a site appears in the search results, the more traffic the website will receive from the search engines. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and news search.
As an SEO strategy, search engine optimizers consider how search engines (algorithms) work, what people search for, how people search and the search terms typed into search engines. This is done through keyword research using SEO tools and studying other sources and statistics available.
Optimizing a website may involve editing its page content, HTML and other aspects of the website's code to increase its relevance to specific keywords and/or keyword phrases to make the website conform to the algorithms of the targeted search engines.
Website promotion is promoting a website to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, another SEO tactic used to help improve the website's visibility in the search engines.
This could include social bookmarking, exchanging links with relevant websites, listing the website in relevant directories and creating discussions in relevant forums, blogs, article directories and online press releases.
